The Egyptian Ministry of Aviation said, in a statement seen by Alsumaria News, that "the Minister of Civil Aviation, Lieutenant General Muhammad Abbas Helmy, received today, at the ministry's headquarters, the Iraqi Minister of Transport, Razzaq Al-Saadawi, and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of the Iraqi ambassador in Cairo, Ahmed Nayef Al-Dulaimi, and a group of leaders of the Ministry of Civil Aviation. The two ministers discussed Prospects of cooperation and ways to enhance the partnership between the two countries in various air transport activities.
The statement added, "At the beginning of the meeting, Abbas welcomed the Iraqi minister, stressing the depth of relations between the two countries in many fields, especially in the field of air transport." EgyptAir and Iraqi Airways, in addition to providing all services and capabilities and transferring Egyptian expertise, in a way that helps establish a strong partnership between the two countries and achieves common interests between them in the field of air transport.
For his part, the Iraqi Minister of Transport expressed his happiness with this fruitful meeting and his appreciation for the distinguished cooperation and support provided by the Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation to the Iraqi air transport sector, stressing the depth of the historical relations between the two countries, and that the Arab Republic of Egypt is a key partner in supporting the country. Iraq in the field of air transport, looking forward to more cooperation and permanent coordination between the two countries.
Al-Saadawi praised "the pioneering role and development boom that Egypt is witnessing at all levels, especially the civil aviation sector."
