The Parliamentary Legal Committee explained, on Wednesday, the reason behind some deputies calling on the government to "withdraw" the Iraqi-Saudi agreement.
Committee member Aref Al-Hamami told Mawazine News, "Any agreement devoid of economic feasibility for citizens and without benefit, we reject it and demand its withdrawal," noting that "an agreement that is useless, especially those that have an economic aspect, does not benefit citizens."
Al-Hamami pointed out that "Iraq now needs quick agreements that will be beneficial," asking, "What is the benefit of the agreement to establish a power line at a high cost and a long period of time, and Iraq is capable of quick contracts?" End 29/233
