The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior denied the validity of the news circulating about the entry of the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, to Kuwait, accompanied by Iraqi security patrols.
The Ministry of the Interior said in a statement on its Twitter page: "The security media... an explanation of the video clip circulating on some social media sites, which includes the entry of His Excellency the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Muhammad al -Halbousi, and his companions through the Abdali border crossing.The Ministry of Interior reports that what is being circulated about the presence of security patrols and private protection are subject to a sister country.
In its statement, the ministry confirmed that "the protection team escorting the visiting guest to the State of Kuwait and the vehicles participating in the guest transfer are subject to the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior in accordance with security procedures and diplomatic protocols."
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior pointed out that Al-Halbousi is "on a private visit to the State of Kuwait."
