, the head of the Integrity Commission, Judge Haider Hanoun, received, on Tuesday, one of the informants about corruption cases, and the extent of the commission's move was discussed after receiving complaints and information regarding breaches and violations that may represent a crime of administrative and financial corruption.
Speaking about the reports and complaints received by the commission, and the importance of that in exposing corruption and prosecuting transgressors with public money, Judge Hanoun stressed, according to a statement by the commission received by Mawazine News, "The news reports need to include information and evidence that can help the commission in its investigations that it refers to the judiciary, to find The competent courts provide sufficient evidence to issue the appropriate decisions," stressing "taking into account the rights of informants and witnesses on the one hand, and preserving the dignity of the accused and not violating human rights on the other hand."
According to the statement, "they discussed the cases that the informant reported about and the progress of the investigation in them, asking the Commission's presidency about the extent of interest in the information the Commission receives regarding corruption cases."
The head of the commission confirmed that "the directorates and offices of the commission's investigation will not overlook any complaint or information unless it lacks information or turns out to be malicious news," explaining to the informant that "the commission has examined the information he submitted and turned it into a criminal case to be investigated under the supervision of a judge."
