The Ministry of Water Resources is considering the construction of a dam to prevent the influence of the salt tides in the Gulf in the Shatt al-Arab.
A statement by the ministry stated, "Minister of Water Resources, Aoun Diab, received the Australian Ambassador to Iraq, Paula Ganley, in the presence of the Director General of the Planning and Follow-up Department.
