The Council of Ministers, in its regular session held yesterday, Tuesday, headed by the Speaker of the Council, Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani, approved a draft anti-terrorism law and referred it to the House of Representatives. It is located outside the Kurdistan Region. In the Foundation Law, the Prime Minister issued a number of directives related to the retirees and the anti-corruption file.
In a statement, the Council approved the recommendation of the Ministerial Council for Energy, which includes authorizing the Director General of the South Gas Company, the authority to sign the preliminary agreement for the project to develop the Bin Omar gas field, taking into account the opinion of the legal department in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.
With the aim of facing the high prices of some materials in the local markets, and alleviating the burden of citizens, the Council agreed to cancel the import license for materials necessary for the needs of citizens.
With the aim of covering the expenses of the initiative to rehabilitate and train young people looking for job opportunities, develop their digital skills, and develop their capabilities to adapt to the labor market, the Council of Ministers decided that the Media and Communications Authority should disburse an amount of 25 billion dinars from the universal service account, to finance the initiative in all governorates.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister said, during the session: "The minister's relationship with the political forces ends after his nomination and gaining the confidence of Parliament, and the minister who feels pressure or threat, I am there to support him," adding that "we have not seen any preliminary indications of the performance of ministers in combating corruption and they must Ministers are committed to this file.

Al-Sudani stressed that "the priorities of the government program, which include unemployment, poverty, services, combating corruption and economic reform, should not be overlooked in the preparation of daily programs in the ministries."
He stressed, "The government's directives for the retirees must be implemented," noting that "the reform package for retirees is a message to those who have spent their lives serving the country, and everyone must implement the package to the fullest."
