On Tuesday, the Ministry of Planning announced the details of the annual plan of the Social Fund for Development for the year 2023.
The ministry’s spokesman, Abdul Zahra Al-Hindawi, said in a statement, “Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning Muhammad Ali Tamim directed to provide appropriate conditions for the fund’s work and enable it to implement its annual plan, which includes the implementation of projects of a service nature, foremost of which are water, electricity, roads and schools projects in the most populous areas.” poorer.”
He explained, "The plan includes signing contracts for the implementation of 144 projects in various governorates distributed by 8 projects in Anbar, 26 projects in Maysan, 24 projects in Muthanna, 10 projects in Babel, 6 projects in Nineveh, 5 projects in Diwaniyah, 31 projects in Salah." Al-Din, 24 projects in Erbil, 9 projects in Sulaymaniyah, and one project in Dhi Qar, in addition to the re-announcement of 4 projects for Dhi Qar Governorate and the same in Anbar.
He pointed out that "the plan for the months (April, May, June) includes the implementation of community mobilization campaigns in the governorates of Wasit, Diwaniyah, Dhi Qar, Baghdad, Babil, and Nineveh, in addition to studying and selecting projects and completing their requirements for the second phase in the governorates of Diwaniyah, Diyala, Dhi Qar, Babel, Baghdad, Sulaymaniyah, Anbar, Erbil, Najaf, and Basra." He continued, "The plan also includes checking the technical lists of the first-stage projects in the governorates of Diyala, Baghdad, Maysan, Karbala, Dhi Qar, Kirkuk, and the third-stage projects in the governorates of Salah al-Din, Muthanna, Nineveh," noting that "the second stage includes preparing requirements and preparing Environmental report for the provinces of Diyala, Baghdad, Najaf, Kirkuk, Karbala, Wasit, Erbil, Basra, and the second phase of Nineveh province.
