Shafaq News/ A delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources in the Kurdistan Region is scheduled to visit early next week, the capital, Baghdad, to find a solution regarding marketing poultry products in the rest of Iraq's regions and cities.
This came in a statement made to reporters by the Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources in the region, Bekard Talabani.
Talabani said in her statement, that the Federal Ministries of Agriculture and the Region's Agriculture have formed a joint committee on the issue of accelerating the dispatch of poultry products and marketing them in the rest of the country's governorates, adding that the Federal Ministry of Agriculture has contacted us about this matter and a committee from the Region's Ministry of Agriculture is scheduled to visit Baghdad on Sunday. to solve this issue.
And she stressed that "we need a common vision at the level of the Kurdistan Region Council of Ministers regarding local agricultural and animal products, and we need the support of the relevant ministries to implement the plan of the regional government regarding the protection and marketing of the local product because the Kurdistan Region has financial problems as well as with regard to the budget," noting to That "the implementation of the vision adopted by the Ministry of Agriculture in Kurdistan will help in addressing aspects of these problems."
The prices of live chickens and eggs have decreased in the Kurdistan Region after the federal government's decision to stop bringing them into other regions of Iraq, according to what the owners of poultry shops in Erbil told Shafaq News agency.
