    Information / Baghdad...
The economist, Safwan Qusai, confirmed, on Monday, the possibility of finding solutions to the problem of high real estate prices through the government's intervention to impose measures that would reduce prices and pursue speculators.

Qusay told Al-Maalouma, "There are those who obtained the dinar illegally and are trying to put this dinar in the real estate market in order to change the gender of that money," noting that "this is one of the factors behind the huge rise in real estate prices.”
He added, "The central bank recently sought and took measures regarding real estate whose prices exceed 500 million dinars, as the owner of the money is held accountable from where he brought it."
And he indicated that "many residential lands in Baghdad have been restricted without buying and selling, in addition to that the real estate market has stopped due to the high sales prices at large rates without the presence of any government interventions,
Qusai pointed out that "there are abandoned lands and uninhabited homes, as there are many speculators who buy real estate and leave it, and therefore these cases lead to an increase in prices." ended 25 n
