The economist, Safwan Qusay, explained, on Wednesday, the most important measures to be taken in order to reduce real estate prices, after the significant increase in their value.

Qusai told Al-Maalouma, "There is an urgent need for the state to intervene to determine real estate prices and limit the rise in real estate value," pointing out that "many changes have occurred in the gender of the land, and commercial sites have begun to creep towards residential, which is another reason for the rise."
He added, "The government has the ability to reduce real estate prices by moving towards selling large areas, and allocating one million hectares in each governorate in order to sell as residential lands directly and at reasonable prices."
And he indicated that "there is a possibility to direct government units in order to build housing complexes for their employees with the aim of housing them and recovering the cost of housing through their salaries, and therefore limiting the rise in real estate prices requires a collective effort by the government and other sectors." ended 25 n
