The economic researcher, Dr. Hamid Rahim, confirmed that the regional development budget has existed for a long time, but it does not reach its goals despite spending 1.5 trillion dinars.
Rahim said, "There is no data in Iraq in order to achieve social justice, as during the past 20 years, the security situation, political developments, and corruption had a great impact on the budget paths, which weakened its efficiency."
He pointed out that Iraq has spent 1.5 trillion dinars since 2003 until now, on balancing the development of the regions, but there is no effect on that, due to external variables such as corruption and political interference.
