    Information / Baghdad..
Representative Ahmed Rahim, on Monday, described the Khor Abdullah agreement as a betrayal of Iraq’s navigational rights.

Rahim said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, “There has been a parliamentary movement going on for days to collect signatures to cancel the Khor Abdullah agreement with Kuwait,” pointing out that “there is support for this step, which embodies national support for the country’s rights.”
He added, "The agreement, in its contents, represents an unjust injustice and a betrayal of Iraq's navigational rights, in addition to its impact on the future of Basra's ports, which constitute an economic artery for trade in the country."
He pointed out that "cancelling the agreement is a national decision stemming from the keenness of representatives of the various political blocs to support the option of preserving rights, including navigation in the Arabian Gulf."
The Federal Court issued a decision weeks ago to invalidate the Khor Abdullah agreement with Kuwait, in a move supported by the Iraqi street. Ended 25 February
