Today, Wednesday, during the “Reforming the Tax System in Iraq” conference, the General Authority for Taxes revealed statistics for its revenues during the current year.
The Authority said in its speech during the conference, “The Authority strengthened international relations by signing agreements related to double taxation, by concluding agreements with Jordan, Greece, and Pakistan.”
She explained, "High growth rates were achieved in tax revenues, as the Authority was able in the first quarter of 2023 to achieve 149%, with revenues exceeding 4.5 trillion dinars, compared to last year's revenues amounting to 2 trillion and 700 billion dinars."
