    The Ministry of Planning confirmed, on Thursday, the government’s keenness to implement quality standards in Iraqi products in the public and private sectors in cooperation with the rest of the government institutions to achieve sustainable development goals. While it indicated that the preparation for the five-year development plan has reached advanced stages, it counted the number of employees registered on the job number platform.
    The Ministry’s spokesman, Abdul Zahra Al-Hindawi, said in a statement reported by the official news agency, and seen by “Al-Iqtisad News”, that “the Ministry stresses the importance of applying quality and efficiency standards in the public and private sectors, and there is a government keenness to achieve this in implementation of the sustainable development goals that are being implemented.” Working on it, especially with regard to combating poverty and unemployment, securing food and water, and empowering youth.”
    He added, “All of these goals are taken into consideration and translated into policies and objectives, and the Ministry of Planning works in coordination with other ministries and sectoral bodies to implement quality standards.”
    Al-Hindawi continued, “Work also continues to achieve the rest of the sustainable development goals, including adopting clean energy and confronting climate challenges and changes and their resulting effects with regard to food security, water scarcity, and environmental pollutants.”
    He pointed out that “Iraq’s participation in the World Climate Conference held in the Emirates represents an important step in the field of combating climate change,” stressing “the necessity of taking all measures, treatments, and policies that can contribute to mitigating the repercussions of climate change.”
    He explained that “his ministry is working on a five-year development plan,” stressing that “preparation for the plan has reached advanced stages, and the plan will be implemented within the framework of applying quality standards in the public and private sectors.”
    Regarding employee data on the job number platform, he indicated that “the Ministry is still working on updating this platform by entering data for new employees, and coordinating with the relevant authorities in all state institutions,” indicating that “the registration process has reached now.” To more than 3 million and 400 thousand employees, and work continues with state institutions.”
