    Political analyst Qasim Al-Tamimi said on Wednesday that the position of Speaker of Parliament needs the intervention of the Federal Court in order to know who is authorized to present a candidate for the presidency of Parliament to succeed Al-Halbousi, who was dismissed by a judicial decision.

    Al-Tamimi told Al-Maalouma, “There are many political reasons behind the delay in deciding the presidency of the House of Representatives, especially since the Sunni blocs did not agree on a specific person to head the Parliament to succeed the elected Muhammad Al-Halbousi.”
    He added, "There is a problem that lies in the coalition that must present its candidate for the presidency of Parliament, and this is a matter that requires interpretation by the Federal Supreme Court, so that the matter is resolved either by the arrival of a party that presents a candidate for the aforementioned position, or by presenting candidates from the Sunni blocs so that the matter is resolved within Parliament."
    He stated that "the provincial council elections and the results they produce will be a pressure card for the Sunni forces to work on in order to link the councils to the position of Speaker of Parliament." Ended 25 n
