The Independent High Electoral Commission announced today, Sunday, that it had received more than 100 appeals, while indicating that the completed ones would be referred to the judicial body.
The Secretary-General of the Board of Commissioners of the Electoral Commission, Ali Faisal, said, “The Commission has received more than 100 appeals so far,” expecting that “the appeals will reach more than 150 by the end of the official working hours for today.”
Faisal added, “The Appeals and Complaints Department looks at all submitted appeals with the same impartial outlook,” stressing that “the Commission has begun, from today, sending completed appeals to the judicial body for decision.”
He pointed out that "all appeals will be resolved by the Commission and sent to the judicial body within the period specified by the law as of today's date."
He stressed that "after the end of official working hours for the day, the Commission will close the door for receiving appeals in all its offices in accordance with the Elections Law."
