A political source confirmed, on Thursday, the framework’s intention to hold a meeting to decide a candidate for the presidency of the House of Representatives.
The source said in a statement to Mawazine News, “Without political consensus, it will not be possible to proceed with selecting a candidate for the presidency of the House of Representatives in light of the differences in opinions about the candidates and there are objections, which calls for more discussions and dialogues.”
He added, "The framework forces will hold a meeting next Sunday in order to discuss the issue of the presidency of the House of Representatives and unify opinions regarding what serves the political process," pointing out that "consensus is important and the framework realizes the importance of resolving options as quickly as possible."
He pointed out that "next week will inevitably witness a decision-making session." Because it is not possible to delay this entitlement in order to proceed with the laws to be voted on and to complete the rest of the other oversight tasks.”
