Today, Wednesday, the State of Law Coalition described the statements of the Kurdistan Regional Court against the Federal Supreme Court as violating the constitution, while stressing that the latter is required to respond to these statements that target the judicial authority in the country.
Coalition member Ibrahim Al-Sakini said in an interview, “The regional government is attacking the Federal Court while it has representatives of the region in it,” noting that “Kurdistan complies with decisions that are in harmony with its interests and attacks if they contradict its policy.”
He continued, "Some of the leaders who recorded their statements affecting the work of the Federal Court must be summoned," pointing out that "continuing defamation and slander against the Federal Court is one of the attempts to influence the decisions that the latter is taking."
Al-Sakini concluded his speech: “The public prosecution must take its role by filing lawsuits against all parties that abuse the Federal Court,” adding that “the Federal Court is required to respond to these statements that target the judicial authority in the country.”
The Kurdistan Regional Court had declared that the Federal Supreme Court was unconstitutional, and that it had no business in the upcoming elections or dividing the region into regions to hold elections in Kurdistan, in addition to the continuous statements and attacks from the leaders of the Kurdistan Democratic Party after the number of decisions that were issued to end violations, violations and thefts of Kurdistan in many cases.
