    The Iraqi Prime Minister will hold a summit meeting in Washington next April with US President Joe Biden, to discuss the horizon of the future relationship in the post-international coalition to fight ISIS.
    On April 15, US President Joe Biden will receive Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani, as part of an official visit to Washington, to discuss the future of the international coalition in Iraq.
    White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre said in a statement that the American and Sudanese president are scheduled to discuss cooperation on priority common issues and strengthening the strong bilateral partnership between the two countries.
    According to the statement, the two parties are discussing the joint commitment to ensuring the defeat of ISIS and the development of the work of the military mission about ten years after the formation of the international coalition, in addition to discussing the strategic partnership between Iraq and the United States, financial reforms, economic growth, and modernization of the energy infrastructure in Iraq.
    The Prime Minister's Media Office, in turn, confirmed that Al-Sudani will go to the American capital, Washington, at the invitation of US President Joseph Biden, to hold a summit meeting, on April 15, 2024, to discuss the horizon of the future relationship in the post-international coalition to fight ISIS, and the best ways to transition. To a comprehensive partnership between Iraq and the United States of America, in light of the strategic framework agreement between the two countries in the political, economic, financial, cultural, educational and security fields.
    The visit, which is the Sudanese’s first to Washington since he took office in October 2022, comes after the tension between Washington and Baghdad, which demands an end to the international coalition’s mission, while the United States deploys about 2,500 soldiers in Iraq within the framework of the international coalition that the Americans established in 2014 to fight... ISIS.
