Shafaq News/ The Polish website YTech, which specializes in technology news, asked whether Iraq will enjoy the opportunities and benefits provided by SpaceX through its group of satellites, to secure the Internet, whether in the crowded streets of Baghdad or even in its isolated desert spaces.
The Polish report, translated by Shafaq News Agency, considered that “Starlink” can reshape Iraq’s digital future, and realize an idea that was previously a difficult dream to achieve, after the “Starlink” concept of the Internet that covers the cradle of civilization became possible, adding that “Starlink”, which... It is considered a SpaceX jewel in the sky, heralding an Internet revolution that can redefine Iraq's position in the digital age.
After the report wondered whether this great network in the sky could actually connect those who are not connected to the Internet in this land rich in its history and culture, it said that the current digital climate in Iraq reflects the ruins of ancient Mesopotamia.
He explained that, with about half of the Iraqi population not connected to the Internet, according to a report issued in 2020, the digital divide is not just a gap, but rather a chasm, and therefore, these “Starlink” satellites promise to reap high-speed spoils, They are not just spots of light in the sky, but rather a lifeline for an Internet-connected future.
The report linked scenes of the past and the present, saying what “Starlink” waves mean for the pulse of a nation in which tradition and transformation coexist, and how the ancient markets, bustling with ancient trade, will coincide with the clicks on keyboards and digital transactions, and will scientists, sitting under the arches of historic schools, be able to... They watch their wisdom being rapidly digitalized under the gaze of satellites orbiting the Earth.
The report presented a scene in which what it called a “satellite symphony” transcends the disturbances that the Earth is experiencing, and unleashes the movement of Wi-Fi waves across sand dunes swept by the winds and urban scenes shaken by war, adding that there is a possibility to fuel the digital economy in Iraq through electronic commerce. And encouraging education and remote health consultations, transcending mountains and valleys, which represents a breeze of technological optimism.
However, the report said that there are heavy questions looming on the horizon. Can the average Iraqi citizen, with a price tag of $99 per month, purchase such a ticket that connects him to the stars? Will the complex fabric of Iraqi rule welcome these foreign bodies in its sky? Is it possible? Will this be an oasis of opportunity, or will it, despite its temptation, be a mirage of modernity, out of reach for many? He continued, saying that "Starlink" could serve as a beacon guiding the rebirth of the city of Mosul as it rises from its ashes.
He added, "Is Iraq ready and willing to welcome this harmonious space symphony, or will the melody fall on ears that have not yet tuned to this frequency?", noting that "Starlink" has the potential to bridge worlds, connect the fabric of society more strongly, and give Iraq a voice on the stage. Global.
He continued, saying, "Let us not forget, in this heavenly conversation, that the dreams of the Iraqi people are what will ultimately decide whether Starlink will light up the night or disappear into the void."
