A member of the Finance Committee, MP Mustafa Sanad, on Monday considered not sending the 2024 budget schedules, despite the end of the fiscal year, a government violation.
Sanad said in an interview followed by Mawazine News, “What is being talked about in the media is inaccurate, and we do not know the size of revenues and exports, so we do not know the size of the budget deficit,” noting that “not sending the budget tables to Parliament is a government violation.”
He added, "Most of the activities of the House of Representatives are now suspended, and we expect the budget to arrive after Eid al-Fitr."
Sanad pointed out that "delaying the budget causes a problem and paralyzes the movement of funds and economic matters."
