    The volume of Turkish enterprises in Iraq from 1972 until the present year amounted to more than 34 billion dollars.
    Türkiye wants to develop economic relations with Iraq and increase the volume of trade exchange to 20 billion dollars annually.
    The most important Turkish exports to Iraq are food, clothing, furniture, and carpets, and then technology, machinery, and building materials.
     The volume of projects completed by the Turkish contracting sector outside the country reached $4.3 billion in the first quarter of 2024.
     According to information from data from the Turkish Ministry of Trade, the contracting sector implemented 40 projects outside Turkey in the first three months of this year, with the average value of each project reaching $107 million.
     The total projects implemented by the contracting sector from 1972 until last March reached 12,164 projects in 136 countries, worth $507.2 billion, according to Anadolu.
     Russia ranked first among these countries, registering 20.1 percent of the total projects, worth $102.1 billion.
     Turkmenistan came second with a rate of 10.5 percent, with a value of $53.4 billion, then Iraq came in third place with a rate of 6.8 percent, with a value of $34.6 billion.
    While Libya came in fourth place with a value of $30.8 billion, then Saudi Arabia came in fifth place with a value of $27.8 billion.
     Algeria came in sixth place among these countries with a value of $21 billion, followed by Qatar in seventh place with a value of $20.2 billion.
