Al-Araji: Sudanese’s visit to Washington is of the highest value

National Security Advisor Qasim Al-Araji described the visit of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani to the United States of America as of the highest value and coming at an important and sensitive time. Al-Araji said in an interview with “Al-Sabah”: “Al-Sudani will discuss in Washington ending the international coalition, activating the strategic framework agreement, and discussing the true partnership relationship with the United States.” The National Security Advisor expected that the visit would represent “a qualitative shift in the relationship between the United States of America and Iraq, especially since the latter seeks to solve all problems and is fully prepared to be a point of contact with all the opponents.” He explained, “Iraq today has a relationship with all of them.” The Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America, and it is capable of playing a role in bringing viewpoints closer and alleviating the crisis, and avoiding being an arena for settling scores between them.”
Al-Araji stressed, “The mission of the international coalition is limited to fighting ISIS only, and it came at the request of Iraq, and its tasks will end at its request, especially since Iraq has full security capabilities, and there is a pledge to provide all the requirements of the Ministry of Defense, including financial allocations, and meet their needs with weapons, equipment, technology, and capabilities.” "He needs it."
He pointed out that "Iraq does not want to lose its friends, and is keen on all good, positive and balanced relations with all the countries that stood with it," noting that "Iraq will get what it asks for without losses."
