A member of the team accompanying the Prime Minister in Washington, Ayed Al-Hilali, confirmed that America will hand over to Iraq the antiquities that were looted in 2003.
Al-Hilali said, in a televised interview followed by Mawazine News, that “the agreements signed by Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, with the United States "The American visit during his visit to Washington was of a high level of importance that served Iraqi interests."
He added, "Iraq plays an important role politically and economically in the region and can play an important role in creating calm in the region and bringing viewpoints closer together, especially since the region is experiencing tense security conditions, pointing out that America found the Sudanese government strong."
He pointed out that "the American side promised Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani to return the Iraqi antiquities looted during the events of 2003, stressing that Iraq had signed an agreement with an American company specialized in manufacturing agricultural sprayers and other international companies."
