The Housing Bank approved more than 8,000 loan transactions submitted by citizens. The spokesman for the Ministry of Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works, Istabraq Sabah, told “Al-Sabah”: The bank has established controls to accept these transactions, including a real estate bond, Form 25, and a map for fixing the boundaries of an entire block, stamped with a rectangular seal by the Real Estate Registration Department, and an original, valid building permit with a building map. Provided that the loan applicant’s share is not less than 100 square metres, and the building area of the residential unit is not less than 65 square metres.
He pointed out that if the property is a communal property, an engineering drawing shall be submitted from a licensed office in which the party specifies the share of the loan applicant with the approval of the partners, and they are not entitled to apply except after three years and pursuant to a building addition, in addition to the personal documents of the borrower and his wife, the sponsor’s department’s pledge, and his personal documents, and that The borrower must be 18 years old and not more than 65 years old, and the loan term must be 15 years, provided that all documents are submitted on the fund’s website. Sabah explained that the loan amount is calculated based on the value of the property and the sponsor’s salary, and in the event of adding construction, the required area is not less than 65 square meters, and the sponsorship of deputy officers affiliated with the Ministry of Defense is accepted, provided that the sponsor’s department’s pledge is authentically issued by the accounts department to which the units belong. The organization will pledge according to the pledge forms approved by the Fund, and the maximum limit for the lending ceiling in Baghdad and the governorates will be 60 million dinars, and disbursement will be made in 3 or two payments. He pointed out that the new mechanism for applying for Iraqi Housing Fund loans is based on differentiation points, such as building location and type, such as new, rebuilt, or addition, age, marital status, and number of children under the age of 18, as well as preference for people with special needs and previous benefit from the loan, whether for a husband or wife.
