Today, Tuesday, the Parliamentary Integrity Committee asked about the reasons for the government’s laxity regarding resolving the theft of the century file, which concerns the theft of tax deposits, which is estimated at two and a half billion dollars.

Member of the Integrity Committee, Ali Turki, told Al-Maalouma, “The main people involved in the claim of stealing the century are still walking around and having fun without being tried,” pointing out that “Nour Zuhair, the most prominent accused in the case, began extending his hand to make deals in Iraqi ports.”
He added, "The government and the Integrity Commission are required to reveal the truth about this laxity and why the case was not resolved and all those involved were not punished."
He pointed out that "if there is pressure being exerted on the government and the commission, they are required to be courageous and reveal the truth to Iraqi public opinion."
The competent authorities had previously released three defendants accused in the case of tax money stolen from a government bank, on bail, as most of that money was seized. Ended / 25 AD
