9:33 AM ADMIN
Barzani had a joint meeting with Iraqi Security Advisor Falih al-Fayyad and US presidential envoy to international coalition Britt McGurk and the US ambassador to Baghdad, according to official Kurdish statement.
The statement said that all parties discussed the latest political developments on the war against Da'ish organization and the preparations to commence liberation battle of Mosul city.
Barzani stressed the importance of having an accurate and clear-cut agreement on the post-liberation era to ensure the participation of all Mosul's components in building a new life, particularly the Izidis and the Christians, the statement elaborated.
No timetable or date was given on the expected military operations, where it is expected that the Kurdish Peshmarga forces will take part.
The Iraqi government used to state that the role of the Peshmarga forces will "end" by the liberation of the city, which it is expected to be before the end of this year.
But, the difference are still going on regarding the participation of the Shiite Popular Mobilization Forces, which some of their components have affiliations with Teheran.
