Thousands of citizens demonstrated on Friday morning in Tahrir Square in downtown Baghdad to demand reforms.
"The demonstrators carried the flags of Iraq waving and shouting against corrupt officials and the continued widespread unemployment and the deterioration of the security, economic and political situation in the country."
Sadr is scheduled to attend crowds of demonstrators to give a speech.
It is worth mentioning that the security forces closed many of the streets, bridges and areas in the capital Baghdad with concrete barriers to secure the demonstrations.
