The Chief of General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army, Lieutenant-General Mohammed Al-Khader, met today with the Commander of the Iraqi Navy, Rear Admiral Ahmed Jassim Ma'arj.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to develop and enhance military cooperation between the two countries, as well as a number of issues of mutual interest.
An Iraqi fisherman was recently shot dead by a Kuwaiti naval force in the disputed waters of Kho Abdullah. Six fishermen were arrested after the intervention of the Iraqi side.
