Confirmed that the United States delegate to the United Nations, on Tuesday, Nikki Haley that Washington is considering a Russian decision of the UN Security Council on reducing the escalation in Syria areas.
Healy said in the morning session of the UN Security Council, on Tuesday: "We are studying it."
Russia was brought before the Security Council, last week, a draft resolution supporting the agreements reached in the Kazakh capital Astana, earlier this month, on the establishment of areas to reduce the escalation in Syria.
In a press statement on Monday, revealed the representative of Uruguay, Elbio Rosselli, (which currently holds the country, on the basis of rotation, the presidency of the Security Council meetings), the Russian delegation insisted on the adoption of the draft resolution as soon as possible.
For his part, Olof Skoog, the representative of Sweden to the United Nations, that the discussions on the Russian draft resolution will take several days, explaining that "a number of members of the Council want to get more information about Astana agreements assigned to monitor the application of the mechanism."
The US Secretary of Defense James Mattis, announced Monday that the United States intends to examine in depth the proposals on the establishment of areas to reduce the escalation in Syria.
The minister said: "The proverb says the devil is in the detail .. So should we have to look at the details and see if we can apply, and whether we will be able to say that it may be effective."
During the general meeting of the final negotiations "Astana -4", on May 4, signed by representatives of the three guarantors of the truce in Syria countries (Russia, Turkey, Iran) memorandum on the establishment of four zones to reduce the escalation in Syria. These include areas of Idlib province and some of the territory of the provinces of Aleppo and Latakia and Hama neighbors, as well as an area north of the city of Homs and the eastern Ghouta, in addition to the provinces of Daraa and Quneitra, southern.
