Bank cards will link Russia with Iran

The central bank announced in the Republic of Iran from the start by linking bank cards between Russia and Iran, in the framework of strengthening banking relations at the international level.
The Public Relations Department of the Central Bank of Iran that Iranian citizens who have bank cards within the Iranian unified banking network, as well as smart cards have a Russian bank, will be able to use automated teller machines in both countries starting from 22 July / August next.
As a result of negotiations that took place in recent months has been agreed to link the Iranian banking card system and bank card system in Russia, and since mid-May / May began the process of sending and receiving and processing financial transactions experimentally between the two countries.
It will provide the necessary ground linkage project for the prosperity of tourism between the two countries.
The project is a prelude to matching the unified banking network in Iran with international standards, in addition to providing the potential for Iranian citizens to send, receive and manage their financial operations.
