Interior Minister heads to Tehran for official visit

Interior Minister Qassem al-Araji arrived in Tehran on Saturday for talks with Iranian officials on organizing the 40-year-old al-Husseini ceremony.
"Iraqi Minister Qassem Araji will meet with his Iranian counterpart Rahmani Fadhli for bilateral talks," Tasnim International reported.
"Talks will be held between the officials on the issues related to the 40th Husseini ceremony and the coordination between the two countries in order to establish a better protocol. The bilateral talks will also facilitate the visit of Iranian visitors to Iraq during the fortieth day," she said.
The secretary of the Central Committee of the 40 ceremonies Husseini Majid Akababaei announced yesterday that the Iranian and Iraqi interior ministers will sign a memorandum of understanding for next week's 40th Husseini ceremony.
