    Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari stressed that the policy of openness adopted by Iraq has contributed to attracting the international community to its side in its war on terrorism, pointing to the presence of diplomatic efforts and efforts to move towards international participation in the reconstruction of liberated cities. 
    Al-Jaafari's office said in a statement that the latter had "received the Iranian Interior Ministry Undersecretary Hussein Zulfikari and his accompanying delegation," noting that "during the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between Baghdad and Tehran and means of enhancing them to achieve the interests of the two friendly peoples." 
    The statement added that "the meeting included a review of the overall security and political developments and efforts in the war against the terrorist gangs and the repercussions of the Kurdistan referendum on the security and stability of Iraq and the region."
    "Iraq has achieved great victories in its war against terrorist gangs and all countries of the world should be proud of what happened in Iraq because it defended itself and on behalf of the world," Jaafari said. "The global war against terrorism requires coordination and cooperation. In the field of security and intelligence and prevent its spread. " 
    "Iraq has pursued a policy of opening up to the countries of the world and activating common interests and facing common dangers and succeeded in attracting the international community to stand by him in his war against terrorism, and today continues to contribute to the reconstruction of infrastructure of Iraqi cities." 
    For his part, said Zulfikari, according to the statement, "the continued support of his country to Iraq in its war against terrorism, and to meet the challenges to its security and stability," noting that "our meetings in Iraq will contribute to the visit of the volume of cooperation and coordination security and intelligence to meet the common challenges."
    In another context, Jaafari's office said that the Foreign Minister concluded on Thursday, his visit to the UAE capital Abu Dhabi to preside over the ninth meeting of the Joint Iraqi-UAE Committee, and meet with a number of UAE officials. 
    "We had a meeting with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince, Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash," Jaafari said. 
    "The talks focused on the Iraqi side, reviewing the latest developments, the provocative defeat, the developments that took place after that, and some of the new challenges that appeared on the Iraqi horizon recently, including the issue of the referendum of Kurdistan," he said.
    "The UAE side has shown excellent understanding and interaction with the issues before us," he said, adding that "discussing several files of a political and economic nature will further strengthen relations and open prospects for cooperation between us and the UAE." 
    The Foreign Minister pointed out that "the UAE has embraced the Iraqi initiatives since 2003 and stood Sanda's position, and extinguished the debts, and its position was honorable, in addition to its political positions in the Arab League in favor of Iraq."
    The Foreign Minister added, "We believe that the UAE is a country that is economically, politically and economically well. It has an excellent qualitative weight. Its attribution to Iraq carries more than one significance. In addition, the Ninth Joint Committee held a meeting between the Republic of Iraq and the UAE. Of memorandums of understanding, including a memorandum of political consultation, cultural cooperation, as well as aspects of investment
