Iran's exports to Russia grew by 36 percent in the first six months of this year 2017 compared to the same period in 2016.
The volume of Iranian exports to Russia increased from 168 million dollars in the first half of last year to 228 million dollars in the same period of this year.
"The point of interest in this growth is Iran's successful efforts to strike a logical balance in the trade balance with Russia," the trade attaché of the Islamic Republic of Iran's embassy in Russia, Farhad Berand, said.
"The value of the total economic exchange between the two countries during this period amounted to 737 million dollars, adding that Iran's imports from Russia fell from 594 million dollars in the first half of 2016 to 509 million dollars in the first half of this year, 16 percent step in the direction of balance in the balance of trade.
