    Information on Russian-Ukrainian talks on the continued operation of the "An-124-100 Ruslan" aircraft on international airlines.
    According to sources in the air transport sector, the Russian airline "Volga-Dnieper" and the Ukrainian "Antonov" Foundation started talks behind the closed door to provide technical services to ensure the safety of the aircraft "AN-124-100."
    The AN-124-100, the largest cargo aircraft in the world, has come into existence in the Soviet Union, but its certificate of safety remains in the hands of the Ukrainian corporation, named after the Russian aircraft designer Antonov.
    The talks are expected to result in an agreement to send Antonov experts to the aircraft factory in the Russian city of Ulyanovsk to certify the safety of the AN-124-100 aircraft owned and operated by the Russian company in return for Ukraine getting the right to use El- On international airlines.

    The Antonov Foundation cooperated with Russian aircraft manufacturers under the Ukrainian-Russian joint venture OA Ka-Antonov, but the new regime, which came to power in Ukraine through the coup, forced the Ukrainian establishment to cooperate with Russia in 2015.
    Antonov has not produced any aircraft since 2016. Therefore, the Ukrainian party believes it has an interest in resuming cooperation with the Russian party.
    A source close to the Ukrainian government told Kommersant that he hoped to reach an agreement if the Ukrainian parliament, controlled by opponents of cooperation with Moscow, did not place its own political interests above any other consideration.
