Iranian government spokesman Mohammad Baqir Nobkhat confirmed that Tehran has taken practical steps to remove the dollar from its international trade dealings and to focus on the euro currency in its activities.
Speaking at a news conference on Monday, Nubakht said that Russia had taken measures to "reduce the dollar" and adopted decisions in this regard through the cooperation of the countries of the region, including Iran, Russia and Azerbaijan, and our role goes in this direction.
Nubakht also announced that the draft budget for the new fiscal year (beginning March 21, 2018) will be submitted to the Iranian cabinet, which will start discussing it starting next week and is expected to be handed over to parliament within 1.5 months.
