[ltr][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]BAGHDAD - Iraq's parliament speaker Salim al-Jubouri said on Tuesday that the deficit in the federal budget for 2018 is "very large."
"The people have the right to provide opportunities and alternatives in order to overcome the challenges they face," Jubouri said in a speech during a visit to an area in the Baghdad belt today.
He pointed out that "the proportion of the budget deficit is very large and this does not mean there are no outlets to overcome the difficulties," and wondered, "How to reduce the spending and we have thousands of graduates are waiting for the state to create jobs for them."
The federal government has sent the budget for the next year to parliament for approval, but the Kurds and Sunnis refuse to vote for the non-allocation of 17% of the Kurdistan Region, as well as not allocate sufficient funds for the reconstruction of the liberated areas of the grip of the organization Daad.
