    Russian President Dmitry Peskov said on Friday that Russia was continuing to work to restore its diplomatic headquarters in the United States. 

    "We consider the seizure of diplomatic premises illegal, and we will work to restore these properties belonging to Russia in accordance with international law," Piskov said, according to Sputnik. 

    "The Russian president and his US counterpart discussed bilateral relations and the situation in hot spots with a focus on North Korea's problem," Biskov said.

    "They spoke in favor of building dialogue and contacts with the North Korean side, and agreed to exchange information and possible initiatives," he said. 

    "The telephone conversation between President Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump was long and constructive," Piskov said. 

    On the other hand, the official spokesman for the Russian presidency expressed regret of the Kremlin's decision to the European Union to extend economic sanctions on Russia, adding that "this does not serve the interests of any of the parties, and that Moscow does not abandon the intentions of normalization of relations with Brussels." 

    "We are sorry and we still see that such decisions do not serve the interests of either the EU member states nor Russia: Russia still sees these sanctions as illegal and fundamentally untrue, but of course we maintain our desire to build relations with Brussels, .
