Due to recent fears that North Korea has developed an electromagnetic weapon capable of disrupting the US electric grid, another threat has been ignored: the Russian combat generator "Ranets-J".
According to the newspaper "The National Interest" that the generator "Rantis-J" sends an electromagnetic pulse 200-300 meters above the enemy sites using high-frequency generators and strong electromagnetic field. Such a strike not only disrupts computers, radars, communications systems and electronics, but makes them unusable later in damaging internal elements.
This weapon poses no danger to human life, but all techniques will be delayed.
"Ranets-J" is capable of operating as an air defense system. Its mission is to neutralize aircraft, cruise missiles and other munitions, which have electronics. The working range of the generator is 14 km for electronic components and 40 for electromagnetic signals.
The system consists of a high-power antenna and generator, a control subsystem, a measuring device and a power supply source. "Ranets-J" can be in two static and mobile versions. C
