Deputy President of the Republic Nuri al-Maliki said on Wednesday that Iran is capable of overthrowing external plans with popular cohesion and wise leadership, considering that Iran's enemies and their extensions at home are trying to provoke riots and confusion.
"What is happening in the Islamic Republic of Iran is an internal affair, although Iran's enemies and their internal incursions are trying to provoke riots and confusion," Maliki said in a statement read out by Al-Maaloumah. He called for "calm and taking appropriate measures that are in the interest of the friendly Iranian people" .
Maliki expressed his condemnation and condemnation of "any external interference in the internal affairs of Iran and any other country, and we are confident that the Islamic Republic, which won the great popular will and the leadership of the late Imam, Imam Khomeini, will fall all foreign schemes with popular cohesion and wise leadership represented by the grace of God Almighty Imam Khamenei Leader of the Islamic revolution. "
