Labor warns companies not to include workers in social security

In a special interview with Al-Sabah, the Ministry of Labor's Social Security and Pensions Department called on the employers in the private, cooperative and mixed sectors covered by the Retirement and Social Security Law to review the center's center and the social security departments for all governorates. Manem said that if the company delayed the registration of workers, a delay penalty will be imposed at 2 percent of the amount of contributions for each month of delay during the legal period for the payment of contributions, as well as the payment of their debts over the previous periods, thus contributing to strengthen the financial position of the Department to enable it to meet Its obligations to pay workers' rights, including pensions. He pointed out that the ministry sought to secure social security for all workers in line with the expansion of social protection. The number of registered workers was 819,000 and 219 workers. The ministry was preparing to merge the social security and retirement funds.
