    [ltr]Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper reported on Thursday that influential figures controlled 1,800 state-owned properties in Baghdad, indicating that the forgery transferred many of them to people, although they belong to the state.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"An official in the planning department of the Ministry of Housing, Reconstruction and Municipalities confirmed the existence of 1800 state-owned properties ranging from presidential palaces to agricultural lands, which were dominated by political figures, parties and ordinary citizens in Baghdad province," the paper said in a report.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"The weakness of the law behind delaying the removal of parties and citizens from the sites of the state has been overrun," the ministry's director of planning, Mahdi al-Nuaimi, was quoted as saying.[/ltr]

    [ltr]He pointed to the seizure by some quarters of land and real estate belonging to the state located between the graves of Imam Hussein and Abbas in Karbala, estimated the area of ​​100 meters in which about 10 million dollars.[/ltr]
