The deputy of the National Alliance Jassem Mohammed Jaafar on Monday the most prominent files presented by the Chief of Staff of the Turkish army Akar Khulusi during his visit to Baghdad.
Jaafar said in a statement: Khulousi completed the talks between the Iraqi and Turkish sides in the field of military and security cooperation and the fight against terrorist elements that are trying to destabilize the borders started by the foreign ministers of the two countries several months ago.
He added: Kholousi discussed the arrangement of the Turkish withdrawal from the Bashika north of Nineveh in exchange for keeping Turkish advisers to train the local police forces in Nineveh.
Jaafar said that the talks included the deployment of the Turkish army on the Iraqi border to combat PKK elements, the opening of the new border crossing on the Feshkhabur road, as well as the opening of the Ibrahim al-Khalil crossing.
