Trump reveals his condition for maintaining nuclear agreement with Iran
US President Donald Trump, during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, revealed that his country would withdraw from the nuclear agreement with Iran unless its European allies agreed to change it radically.According to the American newspaper Axius, quoting unnamed Israeli officials.Talks were held on March 5 at the White House between Netanyahu and Trump, who thanked the former for his unprecedented strengthening of Israeli-US relations. Netanyahu described his meeting with Trump as "excellent" and said his main themes were "Iran, Iran and Iran."According to the Axius newspaper, Trump said that at present France, Germany and the United Kingdom are offering only "cosmetic changes" that Trump considers unsatisfactory. He wants "big changes" in the deal itself, not additional agreements between the United States and European countries.According to Israeli officials quoted by the newspaper, the US president said that if his demands are not met, the United States will withdraw from the nuclear agreement with Iran.As the newspaper notes, the deadline set by Trump to reach an agreement with France, Germany and Britain is May 12.Iran signed with the "six" international mediators (Russia, the United States, Britain, China, France and Germany) on July 14, 2015 a historic agreement on a long-term settlement of its nuclear program.
