The Turkish army and the armed Syrian opposition factions entered Sunday the Syrian city of Afrin.
According to Kurdish sources in Syria, the Syrian Free Army forces entered the city of Afrin from the eastern and western axes, noting that it had taken control of the old garage and Ashrafieh and Gemayeliyah.
"The Special Forces fighters entered the customs center and the social justice bureau in the city of Afrin," the Syrian army's Hamzah said.
"The ground and air attack continues on the center of Afrin," spokesman for the People's Protection Units in Afrin, Brusak Hasaka, said.
"At this moment all the neighborhoods of the city are shelled, and thousands of civilians who are still in the city are at risk of massacres by Turkish shelling," he said.
He pointed out that "the Turkish army is trying to storm the city with all its strength, but the fighters of the units of protection of people and women are facing him and there are violent clashes at this moment between our fighters and the Turkish occupation army forces and mercenaries."
