The member of the Committee on Security and Defense Parliamentary Adnan al-Asadi, on Sunday, the lack of accurate information on the number of foreign troops in Iraqand whereabouts, noting that the Committee addressed the government in this regard did not get a "clear answer."
Al-Asadi said in an interview with Alsumaria News that "the Committee does not have until the moment any accurate information on the number of US and foreign troops in Iraq and where they are and what is the number and what rules are planning to be permanent or new bases," adding, "We have many communications with the government In this regard, but until now we have not received any clear answer on this subject. "
"Asadi said that" the popular and official position in the House of Representatives and within the government is to reject the presence of foreign permanent on our territory, especially after the end of the war on the preacher because the presence of these forces means a new occupation of the country, "noting that" the House of Representatives has already issued a resolution that obliges the government to schedule The dates of withdrawal of these forces from Iraq. "
It is noteworthy that the US Department of Defense ( Pentagon ) announced, Tuesday (November 28, 2017), the number of US forces in Iraq is 8892 military.
