, said the "Arab alliance" in Yemen , led by Saudi Arabia on Friday that the rockets fired by the Houthis on Saudi territory exceeded the aggression of the former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein during the war of liberation of Kuwait , noting that those forces fired 104 rockets so far.

Coalition forces spokesman Turki al-Maliki said in an interview with al-Sharq al-Awsat that Houthi's forces had fired 104 rockets at Saudi Arabia so far, making the kingdom the most heavily attacked country with ballistic missiles.

The spokesman stressed that "the missiles launched by the forces of Houthi on Saudi territory exceeded the aggression of former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein during the war to liberate Kuwait."

He pointed out that "Saudi Arabia was exposed during the war to liberate Kuwait to 39 missiles from the forces of former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein."

He explained that "the coalition presented evidence condemning Iran through the official channels of the United Nations, and briefed them ambassadors of Arab and Western countries."

He stressed that "the response to Iran is an inherent right; guaranteed by international law for self-defense and the preservation of citizens and residents in Saudi Arabia."

Maliki touched on the balance between the political and military operations in Yemen, saying that the political process continues while military operations can be stopped at any time. He explained the intransigence of the Houthis by saying that during the four-month consultations in Kuwait they lacked the desire to reach solutions or compromise and that they were under pressure from the Iranian regime at the time.
