Iran launches secondary market for foreign exchange

Iran's central bank governor, Aliullah Saif, announced Wednesday the launch of a secondary foreign exchange market starting today.
"In this market, the exporter and the importer will agree to change the foreign currency and the transaction will be registered in the comprehensive trading system," Saif was quoted as saying by the Fars news agency on the sidelines of the cabinet meeting.
"The market will show 20 percent of foreign currencies exported by non-oil goods, with the exception of petrochemicals, steel and colored mining materials," Seif said. Ending / 25
