    Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi said on Tuesday that Iraq had "enormous" freedom to use the Internet, he said.
    "There is tremendous freedom to use the Internet in Iraq, which has not been witnessed by many democratic countries in the world," Abadi told the weekly press conference.
    He added that "there are those who try to sabotage the demonstrations using social networking sites through the publication of fabricated clips."
    "It is our responsibility to protect citizens and achieve a balance between freedom and the preservation of society."
    "There are two opinions, one with absolute freedom, and the other calls for censorship on the Internet in order to provide security and protect society," he said.
    The Iraqi government has cut off the Internet service from the capital Baghdad and other provinces that are witnessing protests with the aim of containing and perpetuating it.
    Thousands of people demonstrated in a number of Iraqi provinces recently to protest the deterioration of the living conditions and service and the lack of water and electricity in light of rising temperatures to half of the boiling.
    The demonstrators went out in Basra, Dhi Qar, Maysan, Najaf, Karbala, Diwaniyah and Babil, calling for improving the service and living conditions, providing water and electricity services, eliminating financial and administrative corruption in the state and its institutions, unemployment and providing jobs for the unemployed. .
