The former parliament member Mishan Jubouri said on Saturday that Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi does not know about the loss of half of the country's production of electricity.

"I think Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, when he announced Iraq's commitment to implement US sanctions against Iran, did not know that we would lose half of our current production of electricity because our gas production plants are the fuel of Iranian gas," Jubouri said in a tweet.

"The people can not react if they are cut off from electricity," Jubouri said.
